Donald Billinkoff, Principal
Donald was a designer and an Associate at Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer for fourteen years before establishing his own firm, Donald Billinkoff Architects. While at HHPA, he was project designer for many notable institutional and arts projects including the Joyce Theater in New York; the $140 million restoration and expansion of the Los Angeles Central Library; and the expansion of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Donald is from Winnipeg, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Arts, and Masters of Environmental Studies degrees from York University in Toronto. He received his Masters in Architecture at UCLA. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), NCARB certified, and licensed to practice architecture in NY, NJ, CT and PA. Donald is involved in the design and implementation of all projects in the office. In addition to his practice in architecture, Donald also produces fine art collages. Judith Melinger, Interior Design
Judy is a talented and innovative interior designer. She has had a lifelong passion for art and design and is herself a collector of fine contemporary photography. She is a graduate of Columbia University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree and has an Associate in Applied Science degree from the New York School of Interior Design. Before joining BILLINKOFF ARCHITECTURE Judy managed the Pescapalla Docks Gallery in Soho and completed several freelance interiors projects in city apartments and country homes. Her approach to design blends pragmatic concerns with cutting edge products and technology. She shares Donald's interest in sustainability, good design and quality workmanship. They work closely together on many of the projects in the office. She is a member of ASID and IIDC.
